Vaccination in the professional environment

Obligatory vaccinations for the professionals of health

Diphteria:  recall every ten years with a vaccine containing a reduced amount of anatoxine.

Tetanus-poliomyélit E:  recall every ten years.

Hepatitis b:  three injections (diagram 0-1-6). If the primovaccination were practised before the 25 years age, it is not necessary to make recall. If the primovaccination were carried out after the 25 years age, and that one does not have results of a proportioning of the anti-HBs antibodies showing a value higher than 10 mUI/ml, the recall at 5 years must be carried out, followed by a control serologic one to two months later. If the rate of anti-HBs antibody is higher than the threshold considered as guard (in practice 10 mUI/ml), no other recall is to be envisaged. If the rate of anti-HBs antibody is lower than the threshold, the doctor of work will carry out the evaluation of the additional amount appropriateness, without exceeding a number of six injections on the whole (including the three injections of the first vaccine series). This strategy of control of immunity at the people vaccinated after the 25 years age is also applicable to the high-risk people of exposure.

Typhoid:  an injection, then revaccination every three years for the personnel of analysis laboratory of medical biology.

Tuberculosis:  after two vaccinations by the BCG carried out by intradermal way, the subjects which have a intradermoréaction with negative tuberculin are regarded as having satisfied the vaccine obligations. For the personnel of the establishments or structures enumerated in the 4th paragraph of the R.215.2 article of the Code of the public health, the doctor of work or prevention judges need for a new injection according to the risk of exposure.
