The vaccine calendar 2003 

The vaccine calendar is worked out by the technical Committee of vaccinations (CTV), permanent working group of the transmissible section of the diseases of the higher public Council of health of France (CSHPF), which gathers expert of various disciplines (infectiology, pediatry, microbiology, immunology, epidemiology, economy of health, pharmaco-epidemiology…), in accordance with the decree of September 25, 2002.

 

As of the 1 st month

Tuberculosea

Early vaccination BCG is reserved to the children living in a medium at the risks. Vaccination by the BCG  is obligatory for the entry in community  including the guard by a maternal assistant. The tuberculinic test must be practised 3 to 12 months later.

From 2 months

Diphteria,
tetanus,
whooping-cough,
poliomyelitis,
invasive infections with  Haemophilus
influenzae B
3 injections 1 month from interval
 

The injectable vaccine polio is used for firstly-vaccinations and the recalls, the vaccine polio oral examination only reserved for the epidemic situations.
The vaccine whooping-cough with whole germs is recommended, but the vaccine acellulaire can be used. 

Hepatitis B
2 injections in one month of interval,
3rd between 5 and 12 months after the 2nd injection

Vaccination against hepatitis B can be started as from 2 months (except for the children born of mother positive HBs antigen, at which her place must be made with the birth). 
For the parents who wish that their child be vaccinated against hepatitis B at the same time as the other vaccines, the hexavalent combined vaccines can be used (cf general recommendations)

From 12 months 

Measles, mumps, rubella 

Associated vaccination measles-mump-rubella is recommended for the boys and the girls.
Vaccination against measles can be practised earlier, starting from the 9 months age for the children living in community, be followed of a revaccination 6 months later in partnership with the mumps and rubella. In the event of threat of epidemic in a community of children, one can vaccinate all the presumedly receptive subjects, as from 9 months. Immediate vaccination can be effective if it is made less than 3 days after the contact with a case. 

Hepatitis B
3rd injection

This 3rd injection can be carried out between 5 and 12 months after the date of the 2nd injection.

16-18 month 

Diphteria, tetanus, whooping-cough poliomyelitis, invasive infections with  Haemophilus influenzaeB

The vaccine whooping-cough with whole germs or the vaccine acellulaire can be used indifferently. 

1st recall 

At the time of the 1st recall ' DTPHibCoq' one can, if necessary, to practise in a site of injection separated, associated vaccination measles-mump-rubella.

Between 3 and 6 years 

Measles, mumps, rubella

2nd amount

The one second vaccination associating measles, mumps, rubella is recommended for all the children.

Before 6 years  Tuberculosis Vaccination by  the BCG is obligatory for the entry in community, therefore for the entry at the nursery school or in primary education.

6 years

Diphteria, tetanus, poliomyelitis

2nd recall

Measles, mumps, rubella

With the occasion of the 2nd recall diphteria, tetanus, polio and/or the BCG, it is recommended to make vaccination associated measles-mump-rubella at the children yet not having been vaccinated or having received only one amount with ROR, possibly the same day.

11-13 years 

Diphteria, tetanus, poliomyelitis 

3rd recall

Whooping-cough

2nd recall

A late recall against the whooping-cough is recommended in all the children, the injection having to be carried out at the same time as the 3rd recall diphteria, tetanus, polio with the coquelucheux vaccine acellulaire. 

Measles, mumps, rubella 
correction
 

An amount of vaccine triples associated measles, mumps, rubella is recommended for all the children while not having profited, whatever their antecedents with respect to the three diseases.

Hepatitis B

If vaccination were not practised in childhood, a complete diagram in 3 injections: 2 first in at least a month of interval, 3rd 5 to 12 months after the date of the second injection.

Tuberculinic test

 

The subjects with the negative tests tuberculinic, checked by IDR, will be vaccinated or revaccinés 

16-18 years

Diphteria, tetanus, poliomyelitis 

4th recall 

Later recalls tetanus and polio every ten years.

Rubella 

The rubella vaccination is recommended for the not vaccinated young women, for example during a consultation of contraception or premarital.

From 18 years 

Tetanus, poliomyelitis

Every ten years. 

Rubella

 

For the women not vaccinated in age to procreate.
If antenatal serology is negative or unknown, vaccination will have to be practised immediately after the childbirth, before the exit of maternity.

From 65 years

Seize up

Every year.

The vaccine calendar 2003 introduced new recommendations which relate to vaccination against hepatitis A, the invasive infections with pneumococcus, invasive infections with méningocoque.
